Creative Brief:
Design and illustrate a 3-book set (Only at Target Edition). Each design should be an exploration of conceptual thinking and layout organization.

What your project should include:

Option A — 3-Book Set: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory / Matilda / James and the Giant Peach Author: Roald Dahl Art Direction: Invisible Creature

Option B — 3-Book Set: Charlotte’s Web / Stuart Little / The Trumpet of the Swan Author: E. B. White Art Direction: Lydia Nichols

Front Cover:
The main visual for the front cover will be illustration. You will create illustrations using the style listed above under "Art Direction". The title and author's name can either be type set or type that is illustrated.

Back Cover:
Back covers should include a small spot illustration and summary blurb for the book. It should also include the Target "Bullseye" logo, as well as accompanying text that states "Only at Target". You should also include a barcode.

Book Spine:
Create a design for the spine of each book — including the title, author, and the Target "Bullseye" logo (place the logo at the bottom, where the publisher's logo would be)

Software: All designs should be original and created using Adobe Illustrator.

Mockups: All designs should be applied to a Photoshop mockup.
