Project Brief:

For this project, you will animate a brief scene of a flour sack changing between at least two distinct emotional states. The animation should also include a reason for the flour sack to change between these emotional states to create a small story. There is not a minimum or maximum time requirement for this assignment but consider keeping your story on the short side (~10 seconds) and focus on quality rather than length. This assignment will expand our exploration of all 12 principles of animation and introduce the basic concepts behind character animation with a simplified figure. Through the flour sack exercise, you will learn how to apply these principles to create character-motivated movement and to convey a character’s emotions through posing, gesture, and motion.
